A little more about me….
I’ve always loved to move! My fitness journey began in the 8th grade with a serendipitous invite to join my school’s cross country team. It was a rocky start at first, working through asthma, injuries, and general lack of conditioning (I was guilty of walking during races anytime my coach was out of eyesight!). Eventually, though, I caught the running bug big-time! I dove head first into building my strength and endurance and was blessed to run competitively through high school and college.
Through those years, i loved long runs, where I could spend hours getting lost in the therapy of fresh air and sunshine and moving and breathing. During that time, I also discovered a love for strength training, both weighted and unweighted, and I saw how vital it was in keeping me healthy for running.
Post-college, I discovered some new movement passions: long-distance hiking and contemporary partner dancing. Other movement forms I lovvvve include HIIT training, rollerblading, and a good ol’ stretch sesh. :)
I earned my personal training certification from the national personal training institute in orlando, florida. Afterward, I spent three years refining my skills in a physical therapy setting, meticulously guiding patients through their prescribed exercise plan. I am now focused on the future of fresh air fitness and excited about enjoying the outdoors with you!
